Looking to push the bar past 72V? Well this battery upgrade may be the one for you. The Gladiator 81 Touring is our highest voltage Sur-Ron battery yet! Requires an aftermarket controller capable of handling 92.4V as well as a 92.4V charger. 

Comes in a steel enclosure, which is built in-house starting with a sheet of raw steel that is bent, welded, powder coated, and laser engraved by our highly trained fabrication team. Features an injection molded lid with discharge wires coming out the front for easier wire management. 

How does it stand in our lineup? 

The 81 Touring is a high voltage battery upgrade designed range, power, and speed. If you are looking for the same voltage and efficiency that the 81 Max provides, but don't need the same ludicrous levels of power, the 81 Touring is a great selection. Higher voltage means higher efficiency, so this battery will provide plenty of additional range while still providing a punch. With a continuous power rating of 20KW and 35KW peak, you have plenty of room to play with your tune. The Gladiator 81 Touring is the same height as our Gladiator 60 Touring battery, which means its shorter than the Gladiator 72 Touring battery - so if you want the higher voltage without needing to lift the lid as much, this is a great option. This battery will require you to have a 92.4V compatible controller, as well as a 92.4V charger. The stock Sur-Ron controller and charger are not compatible with the Gladiator 81 Touring. If you’re looking for a battery that is compatible with your stock Sur-Ron controller/charger, we recommend checking out the 60 Touring or the 66 Max. Compatible with 2024 Sur-Ron but requires QS8/QS10 version of the battery. We strongly recommend the QS10 for the highest power delivery applications.

Specs

Super energy dense 81V battery that can provide 20kw of continuous power (35kw peak) and a much higher top speed compared to your stock battery. Includes new custom steel enclosure, upgraded discharge wiring and connector, reinforced carrying handle, injection molded battery cap, hardware for stock-lid fitment, and CNC milled Acetal battery tray. Comes standard with QS8 connector and upgraded wiring (7 AWG). Select Supra option for stock harness compatibility. Also available with QS10 and 6 AWG. 

The 81 Touring is built in-house using grade A 21700 cells with a Smart BMS and a custom PCB. It can deliver 250 Amps of continuous discharge and 450 Amps peak. Provides high performance throughout discharge and includes overcharge protection. Pure nickel is used in construction, allowing the battery to run at staggeringly high efficiency and eliminating the possibility of overheating. Cell groups are isolated for superior durability, impact resistance, and each individual cell is fused for safety.

QS8 Bike Harness:

This is a harness cable upgrade for your Sur-Ron, replacing the OEM bike harness to provide higher current capability. Comes with a Male QS8 connector with 7 AWG. This harness cable is not used with the Sur-Ron breaker, which can be removed from the bike, giving you more space for wire routing. The harness comes with an inline fuse pre-installed. Meant to be paired with the QS8 connector version of this battery. 

How to correctly use the connectors: Plug in the first half of the connector for 3-5 seconds to allow for the filter capacitors to pre charge before making the full connection.
