The Onewheel App is not formatted to read the percentage of aftermarket battery modifications, which is why we include a voltage chart. This allows you to use the voltage reading from your app to see how much charge is in your board. Our ChiGauge display (sold separately) is another alternative for viewing your charge level.

BE SURE TO CHARGE TO 100% when you receive your battery before riding! Always store your board in a temperature controlled location when not in use.

IMPORTANT WARNING: When reinstalling your rear footpad, please ensure that you do not over torque the screws. If you are using an aftermarket foot pad ensure the screws are an appropriate length. Screws that are too long can puncture into the battery housing and then into the battery, creating a dangerous situation. Please contact us if you have any questions.

Always store your board in a temperature controlled location when not in use. When charging, it is best to unplug the board once it is full. Leaving the board plugged in for days at a time will degrade your battery quicker.

Ranger Batteries

Guides and Information on how to install your new Super73 Battery Upgrades

How do I connect the battery safely? Due to the nature of parallel batteries, you want to make sure both batteries are fully charged before connecting and riding. When the light on your charger turns green you will know they are fully charged. Make sure both batteries are turned on before riding.

Why do both batteries need to be fully charged before connecting? Connecting at different voltage levels causes an influx of current to the battery with less charge. That influx of current can damage both batteries.

How do I power the system on? Power on your stock battery first and then power on the Ranger.

How do I power the system off? Power off the Ranger first and then power off the stock battery.

What if I do not follow the power sequence? We have found it can sometimes (not all the time) result in a glitch where the display will not turn on and the trigger will not engage. Power the whole system off and then back on again in the correct order to resolve the issue. If this does not work then wait a few minutes and try again.

Can The Ranger replace my stock battery entirely? No, the stock battery is still required because the battery management system in the stock battery is key to the functionality of the bike.

How does charging work? The Ranger comes with the same charge port as the stock battery which means it can be charged by your stock charger. When the batteries are connected on the bike, plugging one charger in will charge the whole system together.

When both batteries are attached to the Super73
1- Turn ON Stock Battery
2- Turn ON Ranger
3- Plug charger into Ranger
4- Both batteries will charge and charge icon will display on bike screen
5- Disconnect charger
6- Turn OFF Ranger
7- Turn OFF Stock Battery

How long does it take to charge? Since you now have double the battery capacity, you will also have double the charge time.

Will my battery gauge still be accurate with the extra battery? Yes it will!

Will the Ranger increase my top speed? No it will not. The Ranger is a range modification. To increase the speed you would need to use a different controller - but you may see better performance and less voltage sag when the battery is low.

Gladiator Batteries

Guides and Information on how to install your new Sur-Ron Battery Upgrades

Video Install Guide

You will need to set your low voltage cut-off to 48v with the Gladiator. Since we bypass the BMS for discharge, when using an aftermarket controller you will be able to run the battery so low it will pass a “point of no return”. The stock controller takes care of this for you, but you may need to set it for the controller you are using if it is not stock.
