Meet the Gladiator 72 Touring - a 72V battery with a tremendous amount of capacity, meant for those looking to go the distance. This battery is a higher voltage and requires the use of an aftermarket controller to make it compatible, as well as a 72V charger. Now comes in a steel enclosure, which is built in-house starting with a sheet of raw steel that is bent, welded, powder coated, and laser engraved by our highly trained fabrication team. Features an injection molded lid with relocated discharge wires. 

How does it stand in our lineup? 

The 72 Touring is designed for riders who are looking for a top of line 72V battery available to provide the best range of its class. If you want more speed and distance, you might have found your fit! Rated for 22kw of real-world continuous power, the 72 Touring still provides you with flexibility when it comes to tuning. The 72 Touring requires you to swap your base plate (included) and is currently our tallest in the Gladiator line-up (same size as the 72 Max). If you’re looking for a 72V battery that fits with the stock base plate and has a lower profile, we recommend checking out the 72 Compact. 

This battery will require you to have a 72V compatible controller, as well as a 72V charger. The stock Sur-Ron controller and charger are not compatible with the Gladiator 72 Touring. If you’re looking for a battery that is compatible with your stock Sur-Ron controller/charger, we recommend checking out the 60 Max, or one of our other 60V options. Compatible with 2024 Sur-Ron but requires QS8/QS10 version of the battery.

Order cancelation requests after 72 hours are subject to a 25% re-stocking fee. All battery sales outside of the lower 48 are final and cannot be refunded or returned. Battery servicing for Hawaii customers is outsourced to a local repair center. If you are having issues with a product please reach out to our support team.

Specs

High capacity 72V battery rated for 22kw of continuous power (38kw peak) and provides more speed compared to your stock battery.  Includes new custom steel enclosure, upgraded discharge wiring and connector, reinforced carrying handle, injection molded battery cap, hardware for stock-lid fitment, and CNC milled Acetal battery tray. Comes standard with QS8 connector and upgraded wiring (7 AWG). Select Supra option for stock harness compatibility. 

The 72 Touring is built in-house using grade A 21700 Samsung cells with a Smart BMS and custom PCB.  The S Edition can deliver 300 Amps of continuous discharge and 540 Amps peak. Provides high performance throughout discharge and includes overcharge protection. Pure nickel is used in construction, allowing the battery to run at staggeringly high efficiency and eliminating the possibility of overheating. Cell groups are isolated for superior durability, impact resistance, and each individual cell is fused for safety.

QS8 Bike Harness:

This is a harness cable upgrade for your Sur-Ron, replacing the OEM bike harness to provide higher current capability. Comes with a Male QS8 connector with 7 AWG. This harness cable is not used with the Sur-Ron breaker, which can be removed from the bike, giving you more space for wire routing. The harness comes with an inline fuse pre-installed. Meant to be paired with the QS8 connector version of this battery.  QS10 versions of this harness with 6 AWG also available. 

How to correctly use the connectors: Plug in the first half of the connector for 3-5 seconds to allow for the filter capacitors to pre charge before making the full connection.
