Meet the Gladiator 72 Odyssey - our mid-sized 72V option providing additional speed, power, and range. This battery is a higher voltage and requires the use of an aftermarket controller to make it compatible, as well as a 72V charger. 

Comes in a steel enclosure, which is built in-house starting with a sheet of raw steel that is bent, welded, powder coated, and laser engraved by our highly trained fabrication team. Features an injection molded lid with relocated discharge wires. 

How does it stand in our lineup? 

The 72 Odyssey is designed for riders who are looking for a top of line 72V battery that has more punch than the 72 Pulsar, but not as large as the 72 Colossus. The 72 Odyssey allows you to push your bike to new limits with ease. The Standard version is rated for 20KW continuous and 32KW peak and the Pro version is 28KW continuous and 40KW peak. With an XT-60 top mounted charge port you can charge this battery as fast as 45 Amps with our Chi Charger. Charging may not be an issue though given the 3960 Watt Hours of capacity perfect for long rides! This battery requires you to swap your base plate (included) and comes with a mid-sized lid lift. 

The 72 Odyssey will require you to have a 72V compatible controller, as well as a 72V charger. The stock Sur-Ron controller and charger are not compatible. If you’re looking for a battery that is compatible with your stock Sur-Ron controller/charger, we recommend checking out our 60V or 66V options. Compatible with 2024/2025 Sur-Ron but requires QS8/QS10 version of the battery.

Order cancelation requests after 72 hours are subject to a 25% re-stocking fee. All battery sales outside of the lower 48 are final and cannot be refunded or returned. Powerful 72V battery that can provide 20kw/28kw of continuous power and ~20%+ more speed compared to your stock battery. Includes new custom steel enclosure, upgraded discharge wiring and connector, reinforced carrying handle, injection molded battery cap, hardware for stock-lid fitment, and CNC milled Acetal battery tray. Comes standard with QS8 connector and upgraded wiring (7 AWG) and an XT-60 charge port. Select Supra option for stock harness compatibility. Also now available with QS10 and 6 AWG. 

The 72 Odyssey is built in-house using grade A 21700 cells with a Smart BMS with active balancing, galaxy grey enclosure, and 45A charging capability*. The Standard version can deliver 275 Amps of continuous discharge and 440 Amps peak. The Pro version can deliver 385 Amps of continuous discharge and 495 Amps peak. Provides high performance throughout discharge and includes overcharge protection. Pure nickel is used in construction, allowing the battery to run at staggeringly high efficiency and eliminating the possibility of overheating. Cell groups are isolated for superior durability, impact resistance, and each individual cell is fused for safety.  

*Fast charging WILL degrade your battery quicker. We recommend utilizing fast charging only when needed.

QS8 Bike Harness:

This is a harness cable upgrade for your Sur-Ron, replacing the OEM bike harness to provide higher current capability. Comes with a Male QS8 connector with 7 AWG. This harness cable is not used with the Sur-Ron breaker, which can be removed from the bike, giving you more space for wire routing. The harness comes with an inline fuse pre-installed. Meant to be paired with the QS8 connector version of this battery. QS10 versions of this harness with 6 AWG also available. 

How to correctly use the connectors: Plug in the first half of the connector for 3-5 seconds to allow for the filter capacitors to pre charge before making the full connection.
